Its a New Year again and the obvious thing for me to
write about is resolutions, goals and planning the
year ahead however these topics are just not
pressing my buttons so instead what I would like to
explore is something I became accurately aware of
over the Christmas break and that is the lost art of
effective listening. You know the old adage, God
gave us one mouth and two ears for a reason, he
intended us to listen twice as much as we speak.
Since I got such tremendous response from my
recent article on gaining confidence, I thought you
might like to read about another great tool that
works very effectively in getting into a relaxed and
composed state, during what would normally be a
very stressful situation.

Business Book? The Limerick City Enterprise Board
Business Book Club has it's first meeting of 2007 in
the Perys Best Western Hotel on Glentworth St. at
1pm on 22nd February. Tea/Coffee and sandwiches
wil be provided. The books up for discussion thus far
